Drew received a Bachelor of Science degree cum laude in Psychology from Bowling Green State University in 2000 and a law degree magna cum laude from The University of Toledo College of Law in 2007. He was the Assistant Managing Editor of The University of Toledo Law Review and is a member of the Order of the Coif.
Prior to enrolling at The University of Toledo College of Law, Drew worked as an independent insurance agent, providing insurance placement and counseling for individuals, small businesses and public entities.
